What it is
DigiDouble.share is an event installation that scans people and hands them a photorealistic 3D avatar within minutes. The visitor steps into the rig, 40 cameras capture them from every side in a single shot, and shortly after they get a link to view, rotate and share their digital double from their phone, with no app to install.
The event's branding is everywhere: background, viewer interface, logo, sharing copy.
How it works
You register with a QR code or on a tablet, in a few seconds. You step into the rig: capture takes about 60 seconds, 40 cameras and a single flash. After 3 to 15 minutes the link to your avatar arrives, and it opens on any device. Every share on social media carries the event's branding.
From the field
At Maker Faire Rome 2025 we scanned more than 800 people in three days. 60% shared their avatar on social media, for over 5,000 impressions generated by the visitors themselves. The system never went down. The project won a Maker of Merit award.
